The Eleuteri airport at Castiglione del Lago was the site of the traditional “Spring Meeting” (Meeting di Primavera in Italian), from April 20th to 22nd – a meeting dedicated to recreational and sports aviation now in its twelfth edition.
Aeromnia enjoyed a joint participation with ELA Italy, which in turn was supported within the Fama Helicopters exhibition space. This allowed the rapid formation of a working team which required only a few moments to organize everything that was required to be done to welcome visitors, always ready to ask all kinds of questions.
Sad to say, the turnout was not as good as in the previous editions, mainly due to the extremely variable and windy weather conditions, which made for considerable difficulties in reaching Eleuteri airport by air, and also tended to discourage those who would have simply liked to have a pleasant walk around the parked aircraft.
For those who braved the elements, a reward was in store – two spectacular demonstrations were performed by Maurino Antongiovanni in his ELA gyroplane. Well done Mauro, without doubt one of the best gyroplane pilots in Italy.
